Time to get back to reporting the results of the on-line WPX participant survey held last August-September. Doug, KR2Q, volunteered to help do some data mining on the results. He discovered a suprising trend among the results.<\/p>\n

Favorite Mode<\/strong><\/p>\n

When asked for their favorite contesting mode, the results are simple.<\/p>\n

CW – 52%
\nSSB – 35%
\nRTTY – 13%<\/p>\n

Favorite Mode vs Years of Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

The survey also asked respondents to enter\u00a0the number of years they had been active in contests.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I had always assumed there were Phone ops and CW ops and some who liked both.\u00a0 I never expected such a correlation between years of experience and changing preference.\u00a0 What does this say for the future of contesting?\u00a0 For the future of\u00a0SSB contesting?!<\/p>\n
