The CQ WPX is about fun, learning and competition. Contesters love to go on DXpeditions to the far reaches of the planet. These DXpeditions make the contest more interesting and challenging for all of us.

The CQ WPX Contest rules prohibit more than one signal on the air at a time for Single Operator stations and one signal on a band for Multi-Operator stations. The best way to insure meeting these rules is by employing a physical interlock between the transmitters. See the links below for some ideas on how to do this.

The World Wide Radio Operators Foundation ("WWROF"), a non-profit donor-supported organization, has committed to cover critical infrastructure expenses for the CQ family of contests. These include items such as:
Unpaid volunteers do all of the work. These individuals will continue to donate their time, but in many cases funding is need to cover expenses associated with these activities.
