ZK2VSO HP ALLPart-time entry during DXpedition - great fun
ZL2AGYMSHGreat contest from ZL2JU's QTH in outside garage. Freezing weather around 0C, but plenty of signals on the bands to keep us busy. Difficult to break the EU wall from way downunder here, but we had lots of fun. Back again next time for sure
ZL2IFBSA HP 10M10m condx have been up and down the past month so finding the band quite lively at the start I took a gamble on doing a single-band entry. After a reasonable opening run, it just faded away and after the first four hours I only made 3 further QSOs for the remainder of the contest. HP1RIS was a welcome multiplier and I was impressed to work UZ2M, one of two Ukrainians heard but the only one to hear me. P43something came up briefly (sporadic-E or plane/meteor scatter perhaps?) but disappeared before I could grab the key. Thanks to those stations who evidently only came on to work me. It would have been even more soul destroying without you. 73, Gary ZL2iFB www.G4iFB.com Equipment: K3, 500W amplfier, 3 ele tribander at 14m AGL on a 260m hilltop site.
ZS1JYSO LP ALLPowerline QRM killed all bands on Sunday morning. Otherwise the bands were quite OK for the rest of the weekend, but my short vertical with AH-4 tuner and 100W was not always up to scratch. I am impressed with the vertical's performance on 40m though!
ZS4JANSO LP 40MThe worst 40m propagation ever for WPX. I was beaming to the sun, but no improvement on sunspot numbers. See you all next time in the log.
