YV6BXNSO QRP ALLI HAVE A REAL HARD TIME... STORMY WEEK-END AND LONG POWER OUTAGES PUT ME TO RUN WITH BATTERY CAR ONLY 5 WATT + WIRE ANTENNAS.... TNX TO ALL THAT HEAR ME IN A QRM..... SURE THAT NOT THE BEST SCORE BUT WAS A GREAT CONTEST..... 73 TO ALL
ZC4LISO HP 40MCan I still enter the TB-WIRES Category when using the 40M addon on my Cushcraft A3S ?? Thanks to all concerned in running the contest. 73 Steve.
ZL2AGYMSHAppalling conditions generally; horrendous QRN on the lower bands. Never mind, worse score than last year, but we enjoyed it. Back next year! RIG(s): Elecraft K3 driving Ameritron AL811 amp - 400w out; ANTENNA(s): 80/40mx dipoles with open wire feed; 10m tall vert.
ZL3IOSO HP ALLI'm happy I could arrange to join the contest. Conds were not too good and activity mainly on 40/20m. I used the off-time to build a new hv dc supply for the amp and some other stuff. cuagn soon K3 +500W, hexbeam 20/15/10m, vertical 80/40m
ZM4GSA HP 15MAfter some initial keying problems (doh!), I got off to a good start on Saturday afternoon but Sunday was a slog. South American stations were notably absent and signals from North America on Sunday were mediocre.
ZP9EHSO LP ALLNot much propagation for my vertical. No Africa, and only a few JAs. The quality of most operators was outstanding! Tnx and see you in 2011.
ZS1JYSO LP ALL10m opened briefly on Sunday, otherwise conditions were not that great. I worked JA on 40m using my 8.5m vertical pole & AH-4 tuner! I also made my first and only contest QSO on 80m with this antenna!
ZS2NFSO LP ALLJust on for a few hours a day. "SOAPBOX: Rig was a TS50S barefoot (100watts) with a 4 el yagi on 10m, a bisquare on 15m, an" extended double zepp on 20m and a 40m centre fed zepp on 40m. 80 sounded like 20 but I had no way to tune my antenna and get a reasonable SWR!
