| OL5Y | SO LP ALL | Another great WPX-weekend behind us. Even though the conditions on 10m were lousy, I had a great time - I think mainly due to better preparation and rest before the race. I'm pleasantly surprised by the result myself - I didn't expect to make 20% more QSOs than last year. And if someone had told me 20 years ago that with 100 W in a WPX contest, from an uninteresting DXCC in the middle of the EU, one could make 2400 QSOs, I would have considered it nonsense. It's amazing how activity in contests is growing, even though radio amateurs globally are rather dying off |
