K8YUSA LP ALLMy TX point was WA, USA. I operated from JA remotely
K9CSSA HP ALLK3/KPA-500 @ 400W BigIR vertical & Inv L
K9GYSA LP ALLWish I had more time to spend on this contest
K9HXOSO LP ALLOnly had 4 hours
K9UIYSO LP 80MAt start of the contest, all was going well. But 30 minutes into the contest, I had to shut everything down because of thunderstorms in my area (northwestern Illinois) for over four hours. Still a good time with decent conditions for 80 M
KA5SSO QRP 40MMissing some numbers, I screwed 'em up. SRI
KA6JLTSO LP 20MMade more contacts - this is updated log
KC2LSTSA HP ALLI ran CW Skimmer as my local spotting network and it did a good job of identifying workable stations. Propagation, while not favorable, wasn't as poor as I anticipated, though there was some QSB from time to time. The rough late winter and early spring in this part of NJ knocked down my wire that favors Europe and though I managed to re-hang it a bit higher, upon applying amplifier power, SWR goes kablooey. I was able to operate CW OK with the amp but will have to investigate connectors and coax as something's going open upon heating. I can hear the mosquitoes forming a welcoming committee out there... Thanks to all for a fun event!
KC5RSO LP ALLTried out new IC-7610 in contest. Storm took down antenna Sat night
KC6XSO LP ALLGreat condx on 20m! It was open late into the night. I was amazed what I could hear and work with my OCF dipole and low power. Too band the other bands (save 40m) could even remotely follow suit. For CW being a "dead mode", there were no shortage of stations. hihi
KC7VM2No one can say contesting at the sunspot minimum can't be a blast
KD6WKYSA LP 40MWorked 40m band
KD8DEUSO LP ALLFirst time working the contest with my Kx2 on 10-12watts
KE0TTSO QRP ALLK3/10 at 5 watts/dipoles. Thanks copying my QRP. C U next time. 73, Dan
KE2DSA LP ALLI only had time to play for a little while on and off. However, late on Saturday night there was some great propagation happening on 20m. In under an hour I worked, Europe, Alaska, Hawaii, Ecuador, New Zealand, Asia, and a number of U.S. stations near and far, all with only 100w. I copied KN1DX via both short and long path at the same time. I also heard JT5DX but couldn't work him
KE5LQSA LP ALL2018 CQ WPX CW CONTEST

KQ6KSO HP ALLFirst Time doing this Contest. Was surprised at the many DX stations on
KS7TSO HP ALLCouldn't believe how long the band stayed open to EU. both days There were plenty of decent signals not like during the week when one or 2 come in here and there. Had my best EU. run near the end even though a thunder storm made copying weaker sigs a struggle
KU1CWM2SORRY - THE QSO NUMBERING ISN'T QUITE AS IT SHOULD BE (I.E. CONTINUOUS FROM 001 FOR EACH BAND). WE HAD SOME FALSE STARTS WITH DIFFERENT LOG FILES, WHICH I LATER MERGED. RIG-0 AND RIG-1, HOWEVER, ARE CORRECTLY IDENTIFIED. TNX!
KU2MSO HP 20MWow - sunspots - what a concept!
KV8QSO LP 40MWe recently downsized and moved into a condo. Setup the station with not much hope installing a mag loop in the attic above the garage. Very surprised to find that it works wonders!!! I am really amazed how well that thing works. Sure, I have to tune it every few Khz but that thing really works. As a result, I had a ton of fun during this contest. After missing two years, it was good to be back bumping into old friends and making some new ones. Thanks for all the Q's and I'll be looking forward to next year. 73 - tom
KW4JSO LP ALLSuper good contest!
KX7LSA HP ALLWhat strange conditions. I got a late start on Friday, so began on 40m, where conditions were rough struggle 80m was even worse. Saturday on 20m, thngs were much better. Lots of warbly Europeans coming through. In fact 20 was going so well, I almost didn't go to 40 at all on Saturday night. Sunday conditions to Europe were even better - signals were booming in! The only action on 15 seemed to be a few W6's (E-skip?). I can't remember a WPX like this - it was all about EU, hardly any activity from Asia or South America to be heard here. Still didn't quite match my best score from 2 years ago - just not enough mults (or enough double point 40m and 80m QSO's)
KZ3ISO QRP 20M...enjoyed my first WPX CW contest
L73HSA LP 20MBad Bad conditions from SA
