OZ1KKHSO LP ALLCondx was not good as we are in minimum sunspot period. 10m closed and 15m only sligthly open which leaves 20, 40 and 80m as the bands to work
OZ7DMSLSOAPBOX:Not the best ConDX, nothing at 10 meters at all, 15 meters was decent, SOAPBOX:but very modest activity. 20, 40 & 80 meter became main bands thrugh SOAPBOX:the contest. An hour spend on 160 meters gave a few QSOs. SOAPBOX:Antennas in use were tribander up 33 meters, a full size vertical dipole for SOAPBOX:40 meters and a 80 meter dipole with feedpoint up 30 meters, this one was SOAPBOX:in use for 160 meters too. SOAPBOX:Good company in the shack and on the bands, all in all an ejoyable weekend
P44NSO HP ALLBad line noise played a large part in being able to hear many stations. Glad to be back in the WPX contest after many years off
PA0AWHSO QRP 80MRIG ANTENNAS
PA0MIRSA HP ALLThis year unfavorable antenna situation, only about 8 m above ground and wires resting on the treetops made the going quite difficult so am glad to make a couple of hundred contacts sometimes with a bit more power but not always needing it. Hope for CW part everything will be in order again

PG1RSO LP ALLRig TS590S, barefoot, output 50Watts in this contest. Antenna horizontal dipole for 15-80m bands 5m over ground 17m long. Poor propagation on 15 and 10m bands. But still I enjoyed it. Thanks!
PH90TSO LP 80MA lot of fun again after 30 years break
PJ4DXSO HP ALLWas pleased to be sending serial numbers of over 4000 in 36 hours at this stage in the sunspot cycle, although not quite 4000 valid QSOs after the Dupes were removed. 10m was as poor as expected, but the other bands were actually better than I was expecting. Compared with last year, more QSOs on 20, 40 and 80m, but far fewer on both 15m and 10m. My claimed score is about 9% down on last year's - only 74 fewer QSOs but a massive 176 fewer mults this year compared with 2016. I made a couple of tactical errors in choosing my off-times. I should have stayed on 80 and 40m longer on Saturday night / Sunday morning, but went to sleep only to get up before 20m had opened properly. I lost maybe 100 QSOs because of that decision. Also, towards the end of the contest I left 20m to go to 40m but could not find a good run frequency and wasted 30 or 40 minutes trying unsuccessfully to establish a run. I went back to 20m and found it was still good. I was even called by a station in China, which is the first time that has happened in over 3 years of operating from PJ4. Rig: Yaesu FTdx5000, Acom 1500 amplifier, 1kW, to Spiderbeam at 35ft for 10-15-20m, 40m and 80m quarter-wave wire verticals on Spiderbeam fibreglass poles. See you again next year!
PP1CZSA LP ALLThe worst propagation I ever experienced in WPX Contest, but enjoyable. PP1CZ - Leo
PP5JYSO HP ALLPoor propagation but was nice
