N9GDESO QRP ALLFirst license 10-2022 First Time FT-817 using end fed half wave
N9LRSO HP 40MTerrible propagations in USA but great Aurora Borealis!
N9OKSO HP ALLFun contest, nice conditions. Suffering from a bad cough so was unable to run this time. Still managed to beat my record for QSO in this contest
N9PRYSO LP ALLTimer was on during an off-air time. **This is the updated log**
N9TFSO LP ALLI was going to do a 24 hour classic, but Mother Nature had other ideas. 2 hours into the contest a heavy line of tornadic thunderstorms entered my area and knocked me off the air. The worst would be here in two more hours with straight winds of 50+MPH and heavy driving rains at a rate of 2 1/2'/hour. By 05:00utc Saturday morning I saw the driving rains had torn up freshly laid sod around the pool and patio, and muddy rushing rain waters had breached the pool and and seeped into the three season room. Well, that pretty much put the kabosh on BIC time, now diverted to clean up chores. Let me tell you, TN mud stains everything it touches! I was still able to muster up 10 hours of BIC time, in and out of the shack, but my enthusiasm and drive had diminished. Band conditions seemed better Sunday on 10 and 15 to EU and Asia, than Saturday. Glad I was able to operate an hour and a half Sunday morning before attending to additional cleanup chores. Thanks for sponsoring the WPX contests. They are fun. 73 Gene N9TF, Clarksville TN. Rig, K3S 100 watts to 6BTV ground mounted
N9VPVSO LP 10M20 Minutes on 10M at the beginning
NA4WSO LP 10MOnly limited time for this one... saturday was grand-daughters birthday party and Sunday was most was unplugged for thunderstorms. Great fun as always!
NA7PSO LP ALLVERY FEW EU STATIONS BUT SOME WORKED A FEW OF THE BIG ONES
NA7UTSO LP ALLWhat a hoot! Saturday was great until my auto tuner took a dump
NC8NSO LP ALLSUBMITTED FOR CHECKLOG ONLY
ND0CSO QRP ALLPoor conditions, very little operating time and antenna issues
ND3DMSHWe used the K3AJ station. This was a single radio entry. K3AJ operated from the shack. ND3D, WT3K, W3UL operated remotely
ND8DXSO HP 80MMOTHER NATURE HAD DIFFERENT PLANS FOR ME THIS YEAR. EVERYTHING SURVIVED THE FIRST WIND EVENT THAT HIT AROUND 0800Z SATURDAY MORNING. ROUND TWO OF THE WIND EVENT STRUCK SOME 11 HOURS LATER WITH WINDS LIKE I CANNOT RECALL. AROUND 2000Z SATURDAY THE POWER WENT OUT AND SADLY REMAINED OUT FOR SOME 28 HOURS WITH MULIPLE 'BLOWDOWNS' ACROSS THE THREE PHASE PRIMARIES IN THE AREA. HAPPY THAT ALL ANTENNAS SURVIVED, BUT I GUESS THAT MEANS THE ANTENNAS ARE TOO SMALL HI HI !! ALSO TU TO ALL THE STATIONS THAT HUNG IN THERE AND GAVE MUTIPLE 'FILLS' WITH THE RELATED QRN. THANKS GUYS!!
NE1ARMSLTraining new and prospective hams in the fine art of SSB contesting on HF
NF3RSO HP ALLLots of fun. Weather too nice on Sunday- Went fishing. :)
NF4ASO HP ALLAmp quit when I got back from dinner so I decided to hang it up
NF7ESO HP 15MAmazing conditions. Everyone was going to 10M so I decided to try 15meters only. Great decision as it is my all time high contest score, and only one band! Fun stuff!!
NG1RSO LP 15MThanks for the contacts. Thanks to Roger - NG1R for the use of his callsign for this contest. 73 - Dan, W1QK
NJ4ZSO HP ALL80meter delta loop only
NL7VSO HP ALLHad fun in the contest. Worked some good DX stations
NL8FSO HP 80MBetter Prop would have been nice
NM2OChecklogAudio issues and logging numbering issues. Numbers are as transmitted. First time working any NM2 call in WPX
NN4DXSO LP ALLWOW! Great contest, great conditions on 10 and 15M. Little noisy on 40. Had a blast
NN6CSO HP ALLFirst contest using my new paired K4D and KPA1500. It all worked well!
NN6USO LP ALLFirst license 06-2020 That was fun - my top-scoring contest ever! I put up a 4-band EFHW in my backyard instead of the other antennas I'd used previously that all needed to be adjusted for each band. Being able to hop around instead of needing 15 minutes to switch bands made a huge difference. I still had a high noise floor, so thanks for the patience of my QSO partners
NO0TSO HP ALLOperating Remote Station in DM88
NO2DSO LP ALLBetween N1MM and Windows and Me some times and frequencies got messed up. I tried to fix them but doubt that I caught them all. If the log is not useable just consider it a check log, otherwise I hope it is good enough to use
NO9ESO HP ALLFlex 6600+PGXL +TGXL+AG. Part time operation due to travel and family obligations. I tried SO2R and it worked pretty well. The first night the condition were only to NW and SE. I set my phased beams to NW and SE, and it worked pretty well. My SO2R skills need work
NQ4JSO HP ALLHad antenna error on Saturday evening with new antenna so reverted back to 80M loop for all bands. Up until the point the StepIR antenna failed I was actually enjoying SSB contesting for a change. So score not what I would have liked to have had. Plus some distractions. Was happy to give out the rare NQ4J prefix. I think everyone I worked said it was a new Multi. Looking forward to CW in May and hope my antenna is back to working. Don't think conditions were all that good
NR5TXSO LP ALLFirst license 06-2020
NS3TSO LP ALLThe band conditions were not the greatest, but it was still a lot of fun!
NS7USO LP ALLPersonal highest score for the contest. Had fun!
NU5ASO HP ALLThe Plan was to operate a little and focus on 40m tower cable replacements and diagnosing a TIC Ring problem. Ended up operating a bit more than I should have. And noticed a failed truss on the middle M2 7el 10m yagi, of course on the side with the dummy element for weight balance, which looked like it would be destroyed in the next thunderstorm. So...after a lot of DXing and running (read too much) Friday night and Saturday morning, Dennis and I postponed the Plan and instead got the antenna off the tower, tilted, and replaced the truss and its mounting hardware. We also installed a better side mount frame. Ended up climbing down well after sunset, six hours on the tower, but it's done and no worries. We will fix the other things another weekend. It was a very calm day, perfect for wrestling with the long boom 10. Other commitments on Sunday meant stopping after a little time on Saturday evening. Originally set up the log as a multi-single, operated as a multi-two, but Dennis decided not to join in, so entering as a single-op, assisted. Conditions were interesting, but disappointing. AT3K called in over the pole on 10m (wow!) at the same time as only very southern Europe (9H, IT9, and EA) and the Indian ocean were coming through. All of the main parts of Europe in between just could not be heard. Very few JA's in the log as well. Next up is WPX CW. I'm hoping for less disturbed condx in May! Dave K5GN
