I operated IW0GTA/5 (holiday style) for about 18 hours with less than 100Wout and 2 vertical antennas: one for 20 - 15 - 10 bands and the other one, home made 16m tall with remote tuner, for 40 - 80 - 160m bands. | IW2NSE | Checklog | Electronic log software crashed continuously due to the obsolescence of my laptop. I had to go "Old School" using paper and pencil. For this reason I had to switch my category to "checklog-by-request". Anyway, with my actual setup (short end-fed at ground level and 100w) i couldn't fight for high scores. | IZ8EYP | SA LP 15M | Few days before the contest I had some issues on my rotator. Fixed them and put up the antenna on the tower ready for the WPX. The band at the begining was like corked, only during the sunset few opening to caribbean. Signal strenght decrease a lot compare with last year but was exciting anyway. Tks evePHbody 73s Chris |
