Very good band opening on 15m with the East Coast coming through on both days, and a superb signal from K1LZ on both 15m and 20m. I am very happy to have worked Uncle Fred, K3ZO on 15m with his booming signal into HS-Land, and many other NA stations. There were also many HS and E2 stations on the air this weekend. I think it is a shame for the Ham radio comunity the decission of CQ Magazine and CQ Contests not accepting entries from Russia and the zero points of their QSO. Ham radio has to be out of politics,has to be neutral we build bridges with people of all the world we don´t ban anybody and our hobby is above political religious or cultural diferences. | EI100C | M2 | The bands were in good shape although 10m was a bit of a tease and never really opened well. WPX is always an enjoyable contest, being a straight run-fest (sorry top-band!) with all those weird and wonderful prefixes. Having a special call does come with its pitfalls, of course - no matter how hard we tried to be clear there's no doubt we'll have been logged incorrectly by some, a problem often propagated by the clicky-cluster... Never mind, we appreciated each and every call and if eveyone had fun, that's the important thing ) Congrats to our new ops (as young as 15 years-old) for doing so well, surely the future of this fantastic hobby.
